A Walk in My Shoes: One Step at a Time
Monday 14th November 2022
6.30pm - 7.30pm

Martin Roberts
Martin Roberts is one of the UK's leading experts in the lived mental health experience.

A teenage survivor of the Hillsborough disaster, Martin shares his vulnerability by speaking openly about that fateful day and how unbeknown to him, it would be the catalyst of what would be another personal fight for survival some 28 years later.

His signature talk ‘A Walk in My Shoes’ truly shows people how important it is to prioritise your mental health and how leaders, players, staff, coaches and parents/carers within the football community can take some key steps to support themselves and those in their care.

FAQ

Is this really free?

Yes! All you need to do is click the link to book and we will send you the link to access the event.

Will other delegates know I'm in the session?

Not if you don't want them to! You can switch the camera off and not use your name when logging in to the session.

Why a Webinar?

We feel that webinars are a fantastic way to deliver mental health seminars. They allow a delegate to remain anonymous if they wish by simply turning off the camera. After a time, webinars can often lead to delegates turning on the camera, then engaging in the session, then possibly visiting a group session and maybe a 1-2-1 if they see fit.

Also, webinars enable delegates to access the event from anywhere they have an internet connection. It cuts down on travel costs, is more environmentally friendly and enables delegates to be comfortable in a space that they choose to be in.

Why do you give out post event info?

Giving out information after a webinar is important for communication. It gives people who attended the seminar a chance to review the information to solidify their understanding.

Additionally, giving out details after a webinar prevents any misunderstandings that may have occurred during the presentation. It's an essential part of communication and ensures that everyone has access to the same information.

Will the Webinar be available to view after the event?

Yes - the full recording will be available and delegates will be alerted when it is ready. This generally takes no more than a couple of days to get it online.
